BORDER FARM
Glyphosate / Round Up owned by Bayer was just granted complete liability immunity (cannot be sued for cancer or other health issues), and was classified as ESSENTIAL to American agriculture.
So now you know …
There are no more rumors, no guesses, no conspiracies, no secrets – it is out in the open and that is that.
Don’t be sad or mad about this – you have been told the truth and now you can make real choices for you and your family. You can choose to participate in being poisoned, or you can choose to live and move on with a different path.
Does this mean you need to buy a homestead and give up your current life? Hardly, unless that was your plan to begin with.
But what it does mean is now you can grant yourself permission to start REALLY growing/raising some of your own food. And for real on all levels, acknowledge how truly powerful and necessary our farmers markets are and how important to support them. Buying from your neighbors has been a thing since forever, and maybe it should come back as the cool thing to do!
Some Actionable Ideas To Consider –
- GARDENERS – If you already have a garden space, sit down and really focus on the veggies and berries that are most important for you and your family. You don’t have to grow all the things, think of 2-4 that are things you like and carry a lot of nutrition. Order your seeds now so you have them when real spring arrives.
- NOT GARDENERS – If you don’t have a garden but want to start growing something, get some nice big pots and OMRI potting soil when spring is really here, grow 1-2 things that are important to you. This is your start and a great way to not be overwhelmed by gardening.
- CHICKENS – If you have room for chickens and have always wanted them, this is the time to look through hatchery magazines for the breed you want. Check with local grain mills and feed stores for organically grown grain food. Read up on chick raising, correct structure, and chicken care.
- MAYBE A BIT MORE – If you have a bit of space and have never done anything with it, and now feel inspired to maybe imagine and dream coming true, sit down and write out what is most important to you (veggies or animals), what you have time for (veggies or animals), what is your starting point and how you would like to see it progress. This is a great planning month.
- NONE OF THE ABOVE – If you are not drawn or don’t have the time to grow of tend to animals, that is totally okay – we live in a giant food bowl and have farmers and ranchers in any direction you turn who would love to sell you healthy products, support your truly local growers/producers. Contact them directly, through farmers markets, farm stands, mail drop boxes (if they offer that).
- MOTHER EARTH NEWS – want a place to start? Cat has some issues of Mother Earth News she is gifting away – give her a call – 406-599-6757
Small steps forward each day in a healthier direction are better than no steps at all. And as always, if you need help with planning and visualizing your ideas coming good, we would love to work with you – this is what we do weekly outside of our own chores –
