Gut Healing

BORDER FARM

Whatever the question, the answer is usually something goat! Since we practice natural-rearing, herbal and old fashioned pastoral care, our farm from the soil to mouth must carry as much nutrition as possible. We grow about 22 herbs that we know of, maybe double that with the ones that seem to blow in from year to year. I swear if you need an herb, wild or cultivated, it finds you and usually establishes in a prolific way! Here is a great example of growing health and nutrition for goats – you can apply this type of gardening to any species including yourself, just look for what is correct for your needs.

Gut Regenerating Tea Recipe Great article and recipe from the Herbal Academy. If you are wanting to make this blend, we sell – chamomile, spearmint, lemon balm, and calendula that we grow biodynamically on our farm. Contact us for pricing.

Fermented Buckwheat Bread (Gluten Free) We use our KEFIR for soaking, a delicious and dense hardy bread that is gluten free. We also enjoy this toasted!

Border Farm Kefir & Milk – We have been working hard behind the scenes, outside of regular chores and work, to beef up our website, in particular our Dairy Information. We hope you enjoy this information and all of the history and nutritional information. If you want to be part of our 2026 Herd-share (Starting late April) with Raw Milk or Raw Kefir, just contact us to be put on the waitlist.

CLASSES

Kidding Season is just around the corner! Our Goat Camp seems to fill up during this time. While it is sweet and tender, it is also emotional, intense, and time consuming. It’s a good idea to start Goat Camp in February and March so you can meet our Mama’s, learn a bit about our systems before kidding season. Questions? Just reach out.
